Work Study:

The McMaster Work Program offers students, who demonstrate financial need, the opportunity of employment on campus. The types of positions available include part-time positions during the fall/winter terms (10 hrs/week maximum) and full-time positions during the summer term. Government Of Canada – Federal Student Work Experience Program (FSWEP):

The Federal Student Work Experience Program, FSWEP, is a program designed by the Government of Canada to give full-time students to gain employment experience in a federal public service. Opportunities include field work, research, administration, IT, finance, trades, policy, communications and more. To be eligible, you must be a full-time student returning to full-time studies in the next academic year and meet the minimum age requirement in the province of work. Research Opportunities:

Whether it is volunteering or paid work, research positions often available at most research intensive universities. Searching through faculty directories and emailing a professor whose research lines with your interests can help you secure a summer research position. Remember to be transparent and indicate whether you are looking for a paid or volunteer position.


Studentships:

A studentship involves summer work on a research project. There are several studentships available both here in Ontario and around the globe.
