Where and how do I find an Academic and/or Placement Supervisor?
While the SCCE is not responsible for finding an Academic or Placement supervisor for students, SCCE staff can provide tips and tools to assist students with the process of finding a supervisor. Students are encouraged to:
- Use their academic or personal networks to make contact with potential supervisors.
- Review department and websites and the work done by each professor – make a connection to the type of experience they are looking to have.
What is a Learning Contract?
The Learning Contract is a required component of the EE application form. In the contract, the student and academic supervisor jointly determine specific learning objectives, methods of evaluation and timelines for completion of work throughout the experience.
